NXT is heading to Toronto this fall.
After hosting a successful night of wrestling at the Barclays Center for the second straight year, the WWE’s developmental company is making its way north of the United States border to treat fans in Toronto with one of its popular TakeOver events.
Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative — as well as creator of NXT — Triple H announced the news early Friday.

Surivor Series takes place Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Air Canada Centre, with the NXT TakeOver event expected to take place the night before on Nov. 19 at the same venue.
What also isn’t clear as of yet is who will be featured for the event. It’s expected that all of the men and women holding NXT titles will be attending the event, making NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, NXT Women’s Champion Asuka and NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival near locks for the event, assuming titles don’t change hands and all remain healthy in time for the NXT show.
NXT’s event to Toronto will mark the 12th TakeOver event since the company was first launched in February 2014. It’s also just the fourth TakeOver event to be held outside of Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida — home to the NXT Superstars.
Considered the WWE’s developmental brand, NXT has previously been home to the likes of popular WWE Superstars like Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, The New Day, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Bayley and countless others before they were promoted to the main roster.
