Conor McGregor has little respect for the men and women who put their bodies on the line inside the world of professional wrestling. In turn, those in the WWE have little respect for McGregor’s opinions.

CM Punk, meanwhile, can’t seem to comprehend why folks in the WWE Universe allowed themselves to be bothered by the opinions of an outsider like McGregor.

“Listen, there’s tough guys in wrestling. You have to be tough to be in wrestling. Do you have to be tough in [the WWE] locker room? Not anymore. It’s a different and it’s a different business, not only from when I started but from when I was there. I think the thing that shocked me the most about what Conor said was the number of people who responded to them,” Punk said on Hot 97 FM. “They should know better.”

McGregor went out of his way to call many of the Superstars in the WWE “messed up p—–s,” while also taking a jab at longtime WWE mega-star John Cena.

“What’s the main guy? John Cena? He’s 40 years of age walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt and headband talking about no one can see him. You can see him right there – he’s a big fat 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympian motherf—-r. Do you know what I mean? They’re dweebs those guys,” McGregor said during a media event recently.

Notable names like Ric Flair, Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho all took time to respond to the Irishman’s remarks, with Flair even going as far as to challenge him with some of the younger stars in the industry.
