According to report from Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet on Thursday, WWE superstar Nikki Bella has been cleared by doctors for her in-ring return. While it appears that one-half of the Bella Twins will only be able to participate in a part-time role going forward, it also remains to be seen as to when she makes her next appearance for the WWE.
In other news from the WWE women’s division on Thursday, fellow “Totals Divas” star Eva Marie has been suspended after violating the company’s wellness policy.
The 32-year-old Bella was initially slated to return from neck surgery back in March in order to setup a WrestleMania storyline for her. While doctors were unable to officially clear Bella for the aforementioned appearance, she instead continued to rest until eventually resuming her training at the WWE’s performance center in Florida.
It is also worth noting that the WWE had originally planned for Bella to be inserted into the 5-on-5 women’s match at WrestleMania while first making an appearance on RAW to lead into the spot.
Despite being cleared by doctors on Thursday, she has also been told to take it slow upon returning to the ring. Because of his spinal fusion surgery, she remains at risk to further injury her neck by continuing to wrestle.
The sister of Brie Bella and partner of John Cena, Nikki was notably the longest reigning champion in the history of the women’s division after holding onto her title for a record 301 consecutive days.
