The New Day has held the W…W…E…World…Tag…Team…Championships for more than a calendar year. The trio managed to stay entertaining in that span as both a heel and babyface act.

New Day has provided fans with many memorable moments during its reign. In honor of the just passed anniversary, here’s a look at the group’s best moments since SummerSlam 2015.

New Day sings Sinatra, meets the Dudley Boyz (Aug. 24, 2015)

Start spreading the news…New Day celebrated its championship win by doing its own rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” in front of the post-SummerSlam Brooklyn crowd. Still playing the heel role, the trio insulted the New York audience, however was still greeted with “New…Day Rocks” chants.

After the Lucha Dragons, New Day was interrupted by the returning Dudley Boyz, who hadn’t appeared in WWE as a team since 2005. Though the trio was bested, it’s still worth noting, especially since it showed that the company valued New Day enough to put them in an angle with the returning tag team.

New Day teaches Rollins the Power of Positivity, crosses paths with Attitude Era legends (Sept. 7, 2015)

New Day attempted to cheer up WWE Champion Seth Rollins with the “Power of Positivity” after his statue was stolen by Sting. But the bigger moment was Xavier Woods and Francesca I’s “battle” against Christian and his kazoo, which ended with Big E snatching the kazoo and attempting to eat it.

Then, the Dudley Boyz appeared to reveal their upcoming match at Night of Champions against the tag team champions following the trio’s match the following week against the Prime Time Players — spoiler it was New Day.

New Day dances with the Authority (Sept. 14, 2015)

There’s no way this couldn’t be mentioned. New Day got both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to clap and dance along with its theme song. The rest was history.

New Day celebrates one-year anniversary, owns Nashville and country music (Nov. 23, 2015)

New Day celebrated its one-year anniversary as a team on Nov. 23 in Nashville. The group proceeded to trash the city and country music. Perhaps the best part was Kofi Kingston claiming he wasn’t even in character before repeating “country music sucks.”

Francesca I’s funeral and the debut of Francesca II at Royal Rumble  (Jan. 18 and 24, 2016)

Tragedy stuck our heroes when a returning Chris Jericho “murdered” beloved trombone Francesca. The trio held a funeral on Raw to honor its fallen comrade on the Jan. 18 episode of Raw.

Six days later, Xavier Woods introduced his new trombone, Francesca II. After all, “a brother’s got needs.”

New Day trades jabs with The Rock (Jan. 25, 2016)

For most of its run, New Day was credited for delivering some of the most entertaining promos in WWE. In most segments, the trio managed to out-talk its rivals.

But perhaps New Day’s biggest verbal competition came in January when it met The Rock on an episode of Raw. The Great One was promoting his upcoming appearance at WrestleMania before being interrupted by the tag champs.

New Day went back-and-forth with the A-List actor and managed to make Rock look strong, you know, because he really needed the rub and all. In all seriousness, it was a huge moment for the trio, who proved it could hang with one of wrestling’s all-time greats.

New Day turns face, “shames” League of Nations (March 21, 2016)

New Day was attacked by the League of Nations during the lead up to WrestleMania. The now babyface group responded by “shaming” the faction in a promo that ultimately led to a match at WrestleMania.

New Day exclaimed that L.O.N. was “trash,” before taking each member down individually. The segment ended with New Day standing tall in a brawl.

New Day walks out of box of Booty O’s at WrestleMania (April 3, 2016)

New Day made its first WrestleMania main card appearance as a group in April. Of course, the group made a memorable entrance by walking out of a giant box of Booty O’s. Booty O’s, they make sure you ain’t booty.

New Day travels back in time (May 16, 2016)

During its feud with the Vaudevillains, New Day revealed its time machine and went back to a “bygone era.” Turning the trip, the group made a stop in 2009, which Kofi Kingston called “the best year of his career” — thanks Randy Orton.

The group eventually made it back to the bygone era, where it found its Booty O’s had turned into Derriere Squares. The segment was another classic from the duo, who eventually won the feud at Battleground.

New Day goes to the Wyatt compound (July 11, 2016)

Well, not everything for New Day was positive. The trio faced its fears by traveling to the Wyatt Family’s compound. This really wasn’t a “highlight” for New Day, who came out on the losing end of the brawl. But it was one of the most discussed topics of their current run.
